Oh what a little "s" can do..
The purpose of this page is not to attract
business, or create confusion, but rather to educate others so, hopefully, they won’t
experience the same situation.
When I first purchased the URL, www.brainerdguide.com, I should have purchased
www.brainerdguides.com too. They were both available at the time. Several years later, someone
bought www.brainerdguides.com. They used it for several years, but eventually dropped it when they
sold their Brainerd business. I had the chance to buy the URL once again last spring, but It was at the start of
the guiding season, I was busy, and I just simply forgot. I was totally unaware the new owner of www.brainerdguides.com,
would turn the URL into an automatic redirect.
So I've written this webpage to inform my customers.
I've opted not to put anyone's business logos, or telephone numbers, on the page.
That includes mine. This is not about gaining new business, or trying to confuse others, I just hope that website owners
to realize; when you buy a website URL for your business, try to buying all the obvious
extensions. Otherwise you'll run the risk of waking up one morning and finding your competition sitting on a webpage
that uses a URL, similar to yours, as a redirect.
