Experience: John is an excellent multi-species fishing guide whose specialty is catching walleyes. John has over thirty-five years of fishing experience in the Brainerd Lakes area and is very knowledgeable on over 40 different lakes within the Brainerd region. John was the founder of Brainerd Guide Service and helped bring together its quality selection of Brainerd, Minnesoa fishing guides. John spends the majority of the summer on the water and typically takes over 160 trips each year with clients; not to mention numerous other trips with friends and family members. John and his wife Michelle have three children. Tyler, Jacob, and Kayla. John is known for his quick wit and can do attitude. In the off season, John teaches mathematics at Brainerd senior high school. The Species John Fishes For: John is primarily a walleye, bass, and northern pike fishing guide, but he also loves to chase musky when the fishing conditions are right. Like all of the Brainerd fishing guides, John loves to watch a bobber go down on a good spring crappie bite. There are twenty excellent walleye lakes in the Brainerd Lakes Area, and John is an excellent fishing guide on all of them, but John will also guide on Mille Lacs, Ottertail, and Winnie to keep his clients on walleyes.
